Who We Are
Grace Anglican Community has an active youth ministry that is dedicated to nurturing and empowering young people in their faith journey. Our youth ministry program offers a variety of activities and events that cater to the specific needs and interests of teenagers. From weekly youth group meetings to annual retreats and mission trips, our youth ministry provides a safe and supportive environment for young people to connect with others and grow in their relationship with God. We believe that investing in the spiritual development of our youth is essential for building a strong and vibrant church community, and we are committed to providing them with the resources and guidance they need to thrive. So if you're looking for a church in Katy that values and prioritizes its youth ministry, we invite you to come and see what Grace Anglican Community has to offer!
So what are Sundays like?
Students in 6th-12th grade gather for dynamic worship and study, as well as time to hang out and grow as a youth community on Sunday afternoons right after church from 12-2:00.
How do we view Fellowship?
Each week, our youth come together to share life, build meaningful friendships, and support one another on their journey of faith. It’s more than just a gathering—it’s a space where lasting connections are formed, laughter is shared, and students grow together in both spirit and friendship. Colossians 3:16
What is our philosophy on teaching?
The core of our youth group experience is centered around meaningful Bible lessons. Each week, we dive into Scripture together, exploring its truths and discovering practical ways to apply God’s Word to everyday life. These lessons are designed to be relevant, thought-provoking, and transformative—helping students grow in faith and live out their beliefs with confidence and purpose. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
How do we view Prayer?
We place prayer at the heart of everything we do—from the moment youth group begins to the final closing. Students are encouraged to pray out loud in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment, helping them grow in confidence and spiritual maturity. Through a variety of creative and interactive activities, we guide students in deepening their personal prayer lives and discovering new ways to connect with God. James 5:16
How do we view Worship?
Our view of worship is summarized by this quote: “Worship is communion with God in which believers, by grace, center their mind’s attention and their heart’s affection on the Lord, humbly glorifying God in response to His greatness and His word.” – Dr. Bruce Leafblad
How do we view Games?
From high-energy dodgeball matches to laugh-filled rounds of “Apples to Apples,” we offer a wide range of games that help students unwind, bond, and build teamwork. These moments of play aren’t just about having fun—they’re opportunities for students to connect, collaborate, and create lasting memories together.
What about Lunch?
Each week, we gather around a shared meal generously provided by our parents—a time filled with laughter, conversation, and connection. This moment of fellowship offers students a chance to relax, build relationships, and deepen their sense of belonging within our youth community. It’s more than just food—it’s family.
