The Anglican Church is a global association of churches historically connected with the Church of England. The Anglican Church consists of thirty- nine provinces and approximately 80 million members worldwide, making it the third largest Christian communion in the world after the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Churches. The word Anglican actually means “of England”, which is where Anglicanism had its origins.

The Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) unites 132,000 Anglicans in 1,004 congregations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Anglican churches are grouped together in a diocese under the oversight of a bishop. We are members of the Anglican Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast. Our bishop is the Rt. Rev. Clark W.P. Lowenfield.
