Mission Trip Packing List
What you will need for the week:
- Clothes that can get very dirty or get paint on them. For Outside groups
- Appropriate worksite pants - Some worksites REQUIRE long pants. Bring them.
- Appropriate worksite shirts - Some worksites do not allow tank tops of any kind.
- Clothes for after worksite especially if you are outside
- Closed toed shoes for worksites ex sneakers
- Sandles for the shower if you want them
- Sandals are OK for evenings
- Work gloves – with your name on them, for outside worksites
- Swimwear (modest)
- Sleepwear (modest) Rooms tend to get cold, so bring some long, warm ones.
- Towels and washcloths (there will be a place to hang them to dry)
- Twin-sized air mattress, cot or pad
- Bedding or sleeping bag and pillow
- Hat or baseball cap - for working outside Sweatshirt/sweatpants (the rooms can get cold at night!!)
- Bible, notebook, pen
- Personal toiletries (toothbrush, hairbrush, shampoo, soaps, etc.)
- Medication you take regularly in original container (in a Ziploc bag with your name and detailed directions, will be secured and administered by onsite nurse.) This includes prescription as well as over-the counter medicines.
- Refillable water bottle – MUST HAVE
- Extra spending money (just in case, we *might* make a Sonic stop)
- Sunscreen
- Extra pair of glasses/contact lenses if you wear them
- Laundry bag or trash bag to pack your dirty & wet items in
- If you want A fanny pack or drawstring backpack
