Young Adults Bible Study: The Gospel of Mark

    7:00pm – 8:30pm

Our Young Adults group is a gathering of those who are college aged and young professionals. This is a group rooted in fellowship and spiritual growth as an individual and community. Young Adults meets on Wednesday nights from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the living room (to the left of the foyer). The Gospel of Mark chronicles Jesus’s journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. Along the way, the Messiah gathers a ragged band of disciples. As crowds grow and dwindle on the road to Jerusalem, only a few stick by the Suffering Savior on the road of discipleship. In this 11-part series on the Gospel of Mark, author and speaker Francis Chan invites us to walk with him along the ancient ways of the Master. Tracing the steps of Jesus and the Twelve through Israel, Francis explores the major themes of the Gospel of Mark, and asks: Are we willing to take this journey to embrace discipleship? Learn More

  • Men's Bible Study: Genesis
    Men's Bible Study: Genesis

    7:30am – 9:00am

Genesis, the Book of Beginnings—a big, long book that starts with the beginning of time and runs to about 1800 BC or so—A LONG time! Written over 3,000 years ago, it contains a lot of stories about people with odd names from weird places that do things way different from how things are done now. That is until you slow down and look closely. Then, these ancient Middle Easterners begin to look more familiar. In fact, you may recognize a family member or two in them. And if you look real closely, you just might find yourself in this big, long book of beginnings. For sure, you’ll find God in it. All this can make Genesis tough to tackle on our own—it’s easy to get discouraged and confused in its pages. So, we need all the help we can get. We need a guide to keep us on the path. AND this is where Grace Anglican’s Saturday Men’s Bible Study (MBS) is ready to jump into your life and help you out! Ever wondered if there’s more to life than what you’ve been getting? Ever feel lost, like you’re not sure where you are at times? Ever wonder who the heck you really are, why things are so screwed up, and what the heck can you do about it? If not, sleep in on Saturday mornings—you’ve earned it! But if so, then give the Saturday MBS a try. We make it easy, too. “Zoom in” one Saturday. If you like what you see and hear, then come on down to Grace the next Saturday (COVID permitting) for some genuine MALE fellowship, strong, hot coffee, a great breakfast, and a close encounter with God’s Word. If you join up, you get a special MAN NAME and some brothers who’ll get as close to you as you’ll allow. Same goes for God. He’s looking to draw you closer, brother. So come on down to the MBS and let him! You’ll never, ever regret it. Contact Bill Russell at bill@graceanglicankaty.com for the Zoom link test drive. No insurance required! Learn More

  • The Art of Parenting
    The Art of Parenting

    7:00pm – 9:00pm

Unlike cars, children don't come with an instruction manual. But what could be more important than raising our children? And what could be more important than raising Christian children? One of our values, therefore, is ministry to children and youth and that includes helping parents raise Christian kids (https://www.graceanglicankaty.com/our-mission-and-values). To that end, on Friday, March 1 we are partnering with the Katy Vineyard (http://katyvineyard.org/) to begin a course entitled Like Arrows - The Art of Parenting. The course begins with a movie that explores the challenges and joys that come with raising children. Through a journey that unfolds over 50 years, Charlie and Alice discover the unmistakable power of family. Together, they learn that knowing and living by God's Word is what brings transformation and hope to any family. Like Arrows casts a powerful vision for parents, reminding us that nothing is more important for any family than to have God and His Word directing our lives. You may view the trailer below. After the movie, there will be an in- depth, seven-week course to help you in raising your children. All parents and, even grandparents, can benefit. More information and a registration form are coming soon. In the meantime, save the dates. Learn More

  • Evening Prayer
    Evening Prayer

    7:00pm – 8:30pm

How often do our prayers center entirely on our own immediate concerns? A lot. And there is nothing wrong with that. However, the apostle Paul tells us to look beyond our own interests. That is exactly what we do at our monthly Abide in Me Prayer Gathering. Join us on the second Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. as we pray for the needs of Grace Anglican Community, our ministries, our growth, as well as for neighborhoods, schools, and the broader community.
