Did you know that history is headed for something, that there is a goal? Here it is.

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Revelation 7:9-10)

Imagine the scene. So many people they can’t be numbered. All sorts of people, unified as one giving Glory to God and to Jesus. It will be the best worship service anyone has ever known. No one will look at their watch. No one will yawn or fall asleep. It will be all joy all the time.

Two things are noteworthy.

First, we have a part in making it happen. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit fell on the disciples, empowering them to carry out the Great Commission. Jesus has said, “Go… and make disciples of all nations.” As we share our faith, we get one step closer to the scene described in Revelation.

Second, we at Grace already have a foretaste of the heavenly scene. Each of us has a heritage, a country of origin. And to celebrate that, we will be having a fun day on Sunday May 28. Our service will focus on God’s love for all people. AND after the service, we will have a pot luck where we will share food from our country of origin. Can’t you just taste marinara made the old fashioned Italian way? And how about real Mexican food, not Tex-Mex. Add in some Nigerian, some German and maybe some Texas BBQ and it will be a flavor extravaganza. You won’t want to miss this. Sign up in the foyer.
