• They have meaning
• They describe a characteristic
• There is intentionality in giving them, good or bad
• They are earned or inherited
• They separate us

Jesus and His titles
• The Lamb of God
• Rabbi
• Messiah (Christ)
• Son of God
• King of Israel
• Son of Man

These titles show Jesus's characteristics
• Son of God- of the trinity
• The Lamb of God- the sacrifice of God
• Messiah- savior
• Son of man- shares in our humanity
• Rabbi- he is our ultimate teacher
• King of Israel- ruler and Lord
