If you read about the life of Abraham in Genesis chapters 11-15, you might imagine that it would make a great movie. It has everything that Hollywood loves: sex, violence, conflict, high drama and more. One of the most dramatic parts of the Abraham odyssey involved his son Isaac. All of God’s promises to redeem this broken world hinged on Isaac. And yet, God instructed Abraham to kill his son.
This is one of the most difficult episodes in the whole Bible, but it teaches us that God always keeps his promises. This means God is worthy of our trust in every dimension of our lives. Find out more in this week's sermon.
