Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6). This is an ironclad promise from the throne room of God, right? Alas, proverbs don’t work that way. Rather than being promises from God, proverbs are generalizations about life. Usually life works that way, but not always. Nevertheless, raising kids in the faith has to be a priority for every parent. It is a cruel, godless world out there and our children need to be prepared for it. Learn more about how proverbs can help us navigate life in a fallen, broken world in this week’s sermon.
