Many of you know Michael already. He has been worshipping with us for a while now and has served in several ministries. He is probably best known for his part, along with Henry Covert, in our podcast Graceful Curiosity. If you want to know more about the Christian faith, be sure to watch it.
What you probably don’t know is that, prior to moving to Texas, Michael was ordained as a deacon in the Anglican Diocese of the South. It has taken some time to get everything in order but, effective immediately, Michael will begin serving as a non-stipendiary deacon with us. In that role, he will continue to do his current ministries. In addition, he will become a regular participant in our Sunday worship.
If you have watched Graceful Curiosity, you know. how learned and articulate Michael is. He has a B.A. in Political Science from Malone University in Canton, Ohio, and a Master of Divinity from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. He says, “I am passionate about communicating the riches of biblical scholarship and Christian theology to my fellow community members. In that role, I have taught church classes on numerous biblical texts, historical and systematic theology, and Christian classics such as C. S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters.
When not working his job in the healthcare industry, he enjoys watching movies, playing tennis, and is a diehard Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Michael and his wife Elizabeth have two children, Isabella (age 4) and Micah (age 7).
