The Rev. Luke Kunefke has served churches in Texas, Vancouver, Canada, and Virginia in the areas of worship, youth & college ministry, small groups, and preaching and teaching. Luke holds a Bachelor’s of Science from Houston’s College of Biblical Studies (2008) and a Master’s degree from Regent College in Vancouver, Canada (2011).
Luke loves leading people to discover and love Christ. He believes the Gospel is exhaustive in its reach, that faith is not merely personal or private. Rather, all of life—the arts, medicine, education, justice, government, etc—intersects the Gospel in some way. As Abraham Kuyper once put it, “[t]here is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: ‘Mine!’” It is there—in our work and leisure, our delights and sorrows—that Christ meets us.
Luke is passionate about his family, Scripture and theology, tacos, making music and other creative art outlets. He enjoys reading, watching movies, woodworking, and sports of all kinds.
Luke is married to MaryGrace. Together they have four children: Gracelynne, Letty, Kohen, and Emmry.
