Daniel: history, apocalyptic, and prophecy Grace Anglican’s Fall Adult Forum offering shifts gears on Sunday, October 28 to implement what we have learned in “Reading the Bible for All It’s Worth.” Join us as we practice using the methods Fr. Bob has given us to read through the Old Testament book of Daniel. Daniel is divided into twelve chapters: the first six contain wonderful stories of faith triumphing over adversity; the second six contain visions of God’s absolute authority over human existence, and another Old Testament prophecy of the One who is to come—Jesus! Daniel invites the faithful reader of the Bible to explore three of what Fr. Bob called its literary genres: narrative history, apocalyptic, and prophecy. (There are five more!) One writer has tried to condense the message of Daniel into a single sentence: “In spite of present appearances, God is in control.” That sort of message may be very comforting today. Join us for both comfort and illumination as we read through the book of Daniel “for all it’s worth!” Grace Anglican’s Adult Forum meets Sunday mornings 9:30 to 10:15 in the Living Room. Learn More

    Young Adults Bible Study

    7:00pm – 8:30pm

Our Young Adults group is a gathering of those who are college aged and young professionals. This is a group rooted in fellowship and spiritual growth as an individual and community. Young Adults meets on Wednesday nights from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the living room (to the left of the foyer). We are starting a new study on September 19 on the Book of Colossians. Louie-Giglio-Colossians-Young-Adults-New-Study The series Description: What we think about Jesus matters. Our perception of Him shapes us—what we say, how we treat others, even what we think. If we paint Jesus as any less than who He is as supreme over all creation and savior of the world, not only does our theology slip, but the working out of our faith also suffers. In this 8-session series, Louie Giglio will take us through the book of Colossians to help us form a complete picture of Jesus. What we believe about Him influences everything from our corporate worship to our relationships to our attitude toward sin. Now alive in Christ, we can live a life worthy of God instead of falling back into the ways of the world. Learn More

  • Abide In Me Prayer Meeting
    Abide In Me Prayer Meeting

    7:00pm – 8:30pm

"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior..." (1 Timothy 2:1-3). How often do our prayers center entirely on our own immediate concerns? A lot. And there is nothing wrong with that. However, the apostle Paul tells us to look beyond our own interests. That is exactly what we do at our monthly Abide in Me Prayer Gathering. Join us on the second Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. as we pray for the needs of Grace Anglican Community, our ministries, our growth, as well as for neighborhoods, schools, and the broader community. The format is a rich blend of liturgy, song, and prayer. No prior experience is required. And no individual is required to pray out loud. Give it a try. It is a great way to begin the year.
