That is until you slow down and look closely. Then, these ancient Middle Easterners begin to look more familiar. In fact, you may recognize a family member or two in them. And if you look real closely, you just might find yourself in this big, long book of beginnings. For sure, you’ll find God in it. All this can make Genesis tough to tackle on our own—it’s easy to get discouraged and confused in its pages. So, we need all the help we can get. We need a guide to keep us on the path.
