Lenten Day of Prayer

At the Lenten Day of Prayer, you will engage in eight prayer stations in an interactive, multi-sensory way. The prayer stations are based on the “I Am” statements of Jesus recorded in the gospel of John. John’s Gospel cites the phrase “I am” together with seven sets of names to record metaphors for Christ. Jesus says, “I am the bread of life” (6:35,48), “the light of the world” (8:12, 9:5), “the door” (10:7, 9), “the good shepherd” (10:11, 14), “the resurrection and the life” (11:25), “the way, the truth, and the life” (14:6), and “the vine” (15:1, 5). Each prayer station is multi-purpose: you will pray for our church, for yourself, and for someone that you know that does not know Jesus or has fallen away from their faith. The sign up for the Lenten Day of Prayer will be in the foyer at church. Prayer times start at 5:30am on Friday, April 3rd, and run every 30 minutes until 5:00pm. It will take about an hour and twenty minutes to complete the prayer stations; though, you may take as long as you need. Families/couples may choose to sign up together; please indicate the number of people who will be praying together when you sign up. Please register by Palm Sunday, March 29.
