Come Away: A Morning Quiet Day

“And he said to them, ‘Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.’ For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.” Mark 6:31

After a particularly intense time of ministry, Jesus invited the apostles to get into a boat and go to a desolate place by themselves. Sometimes we all need some intentional time alone and away with God.

Are you coming and going and not even having time to eat? In a pandemic? Of course not! And yet in this season, how is it that some of us are busier than ever? We might not even be able to find margin to meet our own basic needs. Do you find it hard to be quiet with the Lord, and really take time to sit in his presence?

This hybrid event, sponsored by the Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast, will feature online content to be shared by women at home, alone, or gathering in small groups at their churches across our Diocese and perhaps even farther.
