The Sacrament of Holy Communion is an important part of the Christian life and we celebrate it every week. Children aged 5 and up are invited to receive communion after they have received formal instruction. This is done annually in a program called This Bread and This Cup. With This Bread & This Cup, children learn about the sacrament of communion while they’re having fun! From the hands-on time with the elements of communion to unique activities, children will thoroughly enjoy these experiences designed to help them to join more fully with their church community and the larger communion of saints. This Bread & This Cup is a program for children and their family ages 5 years and up. A parent must attend with their child. At the completion of the course, the class celebrates First Communion together, a day they (and their parents) will long remember.
