Director of Children’s Ministries
Karen Henson has been involved in Children’s ministry for over 30 years. She has a heart for telling the next generation the wonders of God’s love for them and helping them develop a relationship with Jesus. During these childhood years, a child is the most open and receptive to developing their faith in Jesus. She also knows the importance of partnering with and equipping parents to play an important role in their child’s spiritual development.
Karen was a registered nurse before entering Children’s ministry fulltime. She has 3 children, Sarah 26 and Jonathan 28. Her youngest child, Hannah lives in heaven with Jesus.

Henry Covert graduated in April of 2016 from Belhaven University with a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Biblical Studies. Henry has been working with youth for the last 5 years in a variety of roles including helping start Ignite youth with Jon Henson. Youth Ministry is his passion and calling from God. He loves to talk about
anything that has to do with God, especially theology, and teach it, relating it to a level that the youth can understand. Henry is a firm
believer that context is king and teaches the Bible in that fashion. He considers himself a lifelong learner, always striving for knowledge and new fun facts. Outside of youth ministry, Henry loves to read theology books and manga (Japanese comics), play soccer, watch movies, and play games of both the video and board variety. Henry recently married the love of his life Emilie this last July.
